The God of Art and The Unified Field Theory

What it doesn't say is "Created the Heavens and In Them The Earth."
Science tells us that the earth is just an infinitesimal particle relative to the vast universe. The Universe is so vast and unfathomable in its size and structure that scientists have postulated the idea of an undetectable "Black Energy/Matter", the existence of which is absolutely necessary for their equations of the developing structure of the universe to work.

"Most of the universe is made up of dark energy, a mysterious force that drives the accelerating expansion of the universe. The next largest ingredient is dark matter, which only interacts with the rest of the universe through its gravity. Normal matter, including all the visible stars, planets and galaxies, makes up less than 5 percent of the total mass of the universe."

What this essentially means is that scientists cannot explain the behavior of the visible universe unless they presume it is only five per cent of what actually exists, with the other 95 percent being undetectable and essentially unknowable, too.

'Astronomers know more about what dark matter is not than what it is.

Dark matter is dark: It emits no light and cannot be seen directly, so it cannot be stars or planets.

Dark matter is not clouds of normal matter: Normal matter particles are called baryons. If dark matter were composed of baryons it would be detectable through reflected light. [Gallery: Dark Matter Throughout the Universe]

Dark matter is not antimatter: Antimatter annihilates matter on contact, producing gamma rays. Astronomers do not detect them.

Dark matter is not black holes: Black holes are gravity lenses that bend light. Astronomers do not see enough lensing events to account for the amount of dark matter that must exist."

What is obvious is that the observable universe seems to be expanding far faster than should be possible according to the calculations of gravity based on the detectable galaxies. But it wasn't always like this. There was a time when the expansion of this detectable universe was slower. Then it inexplicably speeded up, inexplicable but for the theory that includes the postulate of Black Energy/ Matter.

Until not long ago, scientists postulated the existence of one hundred billion galaxies, each with approximately a hundred billion stars. Today they speak of two trillion galaxies, which should have quite a bearing on theories of structure and the dynamics of contraction or expansion. And if the numbers of detectable galaxies jumped 20 fold, what is to prevent them from jumping another hundred fold, when we have the means of technology capable of looking even farther towards the far reaches of the observable universe..
It is very possible that scientists don't have a clue of what they are talking about and they are incapable of grasping the idea that the universe goes on forever and is infinite. It was always there, always here. And it always will be. Parts of it expanding until entropy reverses these parts back into incomprehensible chaos, and parts contracting towards another Big Bang.
They seem to need the idea of a beginning and an end for everything, while linear time separates the cause from the effect, even when quantum mechanics has already demonstrated that this isn't true.

If one is to synthesize quantum mechanics and astro-physics, it is necessary to think of time differently than as always having a linear progression.

In 2007 (Science 315, 966, 2007), scientists in France shot photons into an apparatus and showed that their actions could retroactively change something which had already happened.

In other words, until scientists synthesize the understandings of quantum mechanics and astrophysics, these two scientific disciplines negate each other.
One attempt to resolve the paradoxes that result when contemplating both disciplines is called "Unified Field Theory".

Unified field theory is sometimes called the Theory of Everything (TOE, for short): the long-sought means of tying together all known phenomena to explain the nature and behavior of all matter and energy in existence. In physics, a field refers to an area under the influence of some force, such as gravity or electricity, for example. A unified field theory would reconcile seemingly incompatible aspects of various field theories to create a single comprehensive set of equations. Such a theory could potentially unlock all the secrets of nature and make a myriad of wonders possible, including such benefits as time travel and an inexhaustible source of clean energy, among many others. According to Michio Katu, a theoretical physicist at City College, City University of New York, those in pursuit of a unified field theory seek "an equation an inch long that would allow us to read the mind of God."

James Clerk Maxwell proposed the first field theory, for electromagnetism, in the middle of the 1800s. Early in the 20th century, Albert Einstein's general theory of relativity - dealing with gravitation - became the second field theory. The term unified field theory was coined by Einstein, who was attempting to prove that electromagnetism and gravity were different manifestations of a single fundamental field. When quantum theory entered the picture, the puzzle became more complex. The theory of relativity explains the nature and behavior of all phenomena on the macroscopic level (things that are visible to the naked eye); quantum theory explains the nature and behavior of all phenomena on the microscopic (atomic and subatomic) level. Perplexingly, however, the two theories are incompatible. Unconvinced that nature would prescribe totally different modes of behavior for phenomena that were simply scaled differently, Einstein sought a theory that would reconcile the two apparently irreconcilable theories that form the basis of modern physics.

Although electromagnetism and the strong and weak nuclear forces have long been explained by a single theory known as the standard model, gravitation does not fit into the equation. The current quest for a unified field theory (sometimes called the holy grail of physicists) is largely focused on superstring theory and, in particular, on an adaptation known as M-theory.

Definition: M-theory

M-theory (the "M" stands for the mother of all theories, magic, mystery, or matrix, depending on the source) is an adaptation of superstring theory developed by Ed Witten of Princeton and Paul Townsend of Cambridge. Townsend and Witten's version could potentially be the unified field theory sought by Einstein for the last 40 years of his life: a simple equation that would reconcile incompatible aspects of his theory of relativity and quantum theory to explain the nature and behavior of all matter and energy. Applications of this knowledge could, through unlocking nature's secrets, enable future technologies that currently are only spoken of within the realm of science fiction: an inexhaustible source of clean energy, and time travel, for example.

Superstring theory (sometimes just called string theory) has as its basic premise the belief that the four fundamental forces of nature (gravity, electromagnetism, and strong and weak nuclear forces), as well as all matter are simply different manifestations of a single essence. This essence, the material making up all energy and matter, is thought to consist of tiny (a hundred billion billion times smaller than the nucleus of an atom) vibrating strings that exist in a multi-dimensional (10 or 26 dimensions) hyperspace. The extra dimensions (beyond the ones we recognize: three spatial dimensions and time) are thought to be compactified, or curled up, into tiny pockets inside observable space. The particular vibrations of the strings within this multidimensional hyperspace are thought to correspond to particles that form the basis of everything - all matter and energy - in existence.

Since I can remember myself thinking about the world around me, I have been searching for a Uniform Field Theory. Frustrated in this endeavor, I abandoned it and instead thought about God. My ideas about God culminated in the idea that everyone gets the "God" they believe in, which was very self serving as I came to this conclusion after seven years of intense serendipity and generally good fortune. I was somewhat disconcerted by this idea when contemplating the sufferings of the Jews in the Holocaust, something that has always been on my mind, or the misfortune of good faithful believing people of all religions, or the violent victimization of children, etc., but as this idea seemed to work for me and I had long before surrendered to the idea that I could only describe GOD based on my own experiences, I left it at that.
It was shortly after this that my interest in a Unified Field Theory was rekindled and this was when I began to see "elevens". My experiences were of such a freaky intensive insistence that they awakenned in me the philosophical contemplation that my life was pre-designed and with it everything else around me. This idea was reinforced by what the Hebrew Prophet Jeremiah writes was God's opening statement to him.

4. And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

5 When I had not yet formed you in the womb, I knew you,
and when you had not yet emerged from the womb,
I had appointed you; a prophet to the nations I made you.

Add to this "the future" as told to Abraham by God
when he was in a very deep sleep, concerning his descendants.

12 Now the sun was ready to set,
and a deep sleep fell upon Abram,
and behold, a fright, a great darkness was falling upon him.

"You shall surely know that your seed will be strangers in a land that is not theirs,
and they will enslave them and oppress them, for four hundred years."


Add to this idea that Joseph saw the future in dreams which he both had himself and interpreted, as well as the fact that his whole life story with all its tribulations was the means by which The Children of Israel came down to Egypt and were finally enslaved as God had told Abraham. Well, all this seems to imply that the future is fixed and inescapable, no matter how much we want to believe in free choice and that we are the creators of our own reality.

But of course all this means nothing if you don't see in the Hebrew Bible a blueprint for the human experience as I do.

At any rate, when I started to see elevens I came upon the data that sunspots appeared in 11 years cycles and existence itself is constructed from 11 dimensions. The sun and the smallest particles of nature both explained by this

The 11th dimension is a characteristic of space-time that has been proposed as a possible answer to questions that arise in superstring theory. The theory of superstrings involves the existence of nine dimensions of space and one dimension of time (a total of 10 dimensions). According to this notion, we observe only three spatial dimensions and one time dimension because the other six spatial dimensions are "curled up" or "compactified."

According to superstring theory, all of the elementary particles in the universe are composed of vibrating, one-dimensional mathematical objects known as strings. The theory does not explicitly state what the strings are made of or where they come from; rather, they are proposed as geometric ideals. Each string has a length of only 10-35 meters, many times smaller than the diameter of the nucleus of an atom. Any given subatomic particle (or hadron) is made of a string that vibrates and rotates at the speed of light. A particular hadron gets its unique identity from the manner in which the string rotates and vibrates according to the dynamics of Einstein's theory of general relativity. The frequency of vibration corresponds to the mass of the particle.

The nagging question remains, "Where do the strings come from?" Also, there are five different versions of superstring theory that explain the way subatomic particles behave. Are all five versions correct, or are some correct and others wrong? In an attempt to answer these questions, some physicists have suggested that there exists an 11th dimension, which is compactified like the other six spatial dimensions we do not directly observe. Superstring theory with the inclusion of the 11th dimension is sometimes called M theory or the theory of everything (TOE).

Now there is a great difference between 11 dimensions and "This essence, the material making up all energy and matter, is thought to consist of tiny (a hundred billion billion times smaller than the nucleus of an atom) vibrating strings that exist in a multi-dimensional (10 or 26 dimensions) hyperspace."

Which brings me back to the idea that there are quite a number of scientists that try as they do, still don't quite know how to recognize a paradox between their ideas and other ideas, a paradox that negates both ideas as truth, until further notice, and there is a synthesizing of the ideas, that removes the paradox. Something Einstein tried to do between his theory of relativity and quantum mechanics for over forty years, without success. 

Now there is nothing wrong with trying to stretch one's mind in an attempt to embrace all encompassing ideas, yet there might also be value in a humility that recognizes that the final nature of the Universe or The Universal Field Reality is so Complex and Sophisticated it can only be contained in the Divine Mind that Creates The Totality of It All. We must accept that our minds, the mind of man, a man, any man, is under the influence of factors that are beyond our comprehension. Quantum mechanics describes phenomena that are completely against our own experience of reality. We experience a linear progression of time and events, where there is a chain of circumstance from cause to effect, albeit First Cause and Final Effect are unknowable. That is not to say that our mind is not under the influence of quantum mechanic phenomenon which might explain how The Future comes to be known in The Present as such happens in the Mind of The Prophets when influenced by The Divine, as described in the Hebrew Bible. With humility, scientists with great minds, (whose minds are never the less, less than the Divine Mind that contains all minds,) can concentrate on resolving problems that concern the actual well being of life itself, as we find ourselves in the middle of a vast extinction unparalleled in its velocity and severity.

I believe that the first verse of Genesis contains a blueprint of the human mind and its limitations, the understanding of which might allow for an allocation of intellectual assets to existential challenges and by so doing, free up the intellectual horsepower of great scientific minds from insoluble attempts to grasp the unattainable and concentrate on the very real problems facing humanity in the relatively near future.

"In The Beginning God Created The Heavens and The Earth! Now The Earth was without Form and Void and Darkness was upon The Face of The Deep and The Spirit of The Lord was Hovering above The Waters. And The Lord said, "Let there be Light, and There was Light. And The Lord saw The Light that it was Good. And The Lord divided between The Light and The Darkness. "


For me these verses are a Divinely Inspired Euphony!

The first thing that comes to my mind when reading these verses is the concept of a sequence which has a beginning. A beginning with a sequence of events that follow it. This is axiomatic of all human experience and how the living mind functions. If events are not arranged as a sequence and appear to happen all at once, they are incomprehensible. It is like listening to a symphony by Mozart with all the notes played at once. It is even more incomprehensible than a cacophony. A cacophony has a chaotic sequence, it is a harsh discordant mixture of flowing sounds, that may yet have the significance of representing a meaningful and appreciable sequence of noise. But if all the notes of a symphony are played at once, it is not even noise because it has no context of music to compare it with. There are symphonies which might include a duration of cacophony but there are no works of music that are composed of a single sound of many varied sounds and notes all played in one overwhelmingly meaningless blast. 

A sequence is a series of events differentiated from each other by their place in a line of linear time. There does not have to be a cause and effect relationship between the events, just as one note in a melody doesn't cause the next though it might affect how subsequent notes are heard. Another more dimension-ed example of this is when we observe a movie projected onto a screen, where none of the pictures in any frame actually cause the events in any proceeding framed pictures. Simply put, there is no cause and effect relationship between the frames in a reel of movie film. The idea of cause and effect exists in the mind and is an interpretation of what we see on the screen. A child cannot see the same causes and effects that an adult does in a sophisticated drama meant for adults and therefor the child is bored and uninterested in the story, though the child can see the same sequence of pictures.
In other words, the first verses of Genesis demonstrate a sequence of events with a beginning, that to be understood, must be separated in time. This is the backbone of a functioning mind of any kind. Time is of the mind. It exists virtually and of necessity in the mind, it is the very stuff of reason and rationality, but apparently not in that of nature which is beyond the conscious mind. That which exists outside the mind is an unfathomable timeless and chaotic confusion which only makes sense when put into an "artificial" structure, composed by the Human Mind, which Is Created by God for Man.

"So, how is all of this information relevant to the concept of time? Just as the double slit experiment illustrates how factors associated with consciousness collapse the quantum wave function (a piece of matter existing in multiple potential states) into a single piece of matter with defined physical properties (no longer a wave, all those potential states collapsed into one), the delayed choice experiment illustrates how what happens in the present can change what happens(ed) in the past. It also shows how time can go backwards, how cause and effect can be reversed, and how the future caused the past."

Or this:

Unfortunately, some scientists come to this very incorrect and confusing conclusion.

"Time as we measure it and know it, doesn’t really exist."


Time definitely does really exist as an axiomatic self evident element and function of the mind. The mind exists more certainly than anything beyond the reach of the mind's capacity for comprehension, therefore time exists within the mind that axiomatically exists, and is as much a Divine Creation as The Quantum Mechanics Sea of Coming and Going Time Bubbles, for it is the Human Mind containing Time that perceives the coming and going particles (time bubbles), and thereby brings them into existence as a measurable event in a sequence of significance.
The words "In the Beginning" could be replaced with "At the Beginning" with no difference in meaning, just as saying " I am at my Grandmother's (house)" means "I am in my Grandmother's house." The importance of the word " Beginning" is that it indicates that whatever came before this is irrelevant and incomprehensible as regards the mind. For whatever is "before" the mind exists outside of the mind and therefore cannot be grasped by the mind. Were it grasped by the mind, it would be "in" the mind and would cease to exist before the mind. There is always something before the beginning, we just can't understand it without changing its nature by bringing it out of incomprehensible abstraction into comprehension. Such is the nature of a wave function before it collapses into the mind as an observation.
The words "God created' indicate the Ultimate Cause of all the effects consequently perceived in the mind in the sequence that progresses from "The Beginning". So, "In The Beginning God Created The Heavens and The Earth" indicates that God creates All the Effects in the Heavens and the Earth as such are recognized by the Human Mind and therefore in the Human Mind. "The Heavens" does not mean the Galaxies. It means the Heavens as such have existed in all civilizations and cultures since the dawn of human story telling. It doesn't mean something above the earth in a physical sense as the moon and sun seem to be. The Sun and The Moon and The Clouds are physical metaphors for forces whose influence causes effects on the earth and in The Human Mind.
The Heavens are The Realms of the Gods of the ancients and The Spirits that govern human affairs in all cultures until modern times. The idea of a Heaven and Earth is indicative of a Hierarchy of influence over human affairs and this Hierarchy exists as a foundational structure of the Human Mind. It is the perception that effects appear yet have invisible causes just as quantum particles appear with invisible wave functions as their cause. In an attempt to appease the Spirits, The Gods, the Invisible Causes of the sequence of events humans experience as their lives, religions developed in which the idea of Ceremonial Sacrifice to the Spirits or "The" Great Spirit was common to them all.
Now the next verse, " Now the earth was without form and void..." makes me think of a potential for sequence, because there is a Beginning containing an unformed earth which is not yet substantial or is in other words void, but this Earth exists only as a potential, reminiscent of a sea of wave functions as yet unperceived by an eye and a mind which would by seeing and perceiving, cause the wave functions to collapse as a series of particle events on a line of linear time in the mind. The Beginning, The Heavens and the Unformed and Void Earth are yet a Singularity of Unrealized potential, they are in the Dark and Un-see-able, like something in-perceivable and inconceivable, unfathomable at the bottom of a pitch black unknowable Depth. "Darkness on The Face of The Deep"
They are a boundless sea of various wave functions that have the potential to become The Heavens and The Earth, in a Grand Unfolding of Events. "Above" this boundless body of currents and waves, this sea of wave functions, hovers, as in The Hierarchy described above, "The Spirit of The Lord".
Now the Word "Lord" in Hebrew, Elohim, is taken from the root "El" which means "in the direction of". The idea of a "direction" implies law and order because a state in which all directions are the same is a state of chaos. It is The Laws of Nature that determine the direction that objects in motion take. The Law of Gravity causes objects to have the direction of "Down" or towards each other. The Hebrew word "Elohim" can also be read as to-the-sea or "EL-HA-YAM" as in "All the rivers flow into the sea, yet the sea is not full; to the place where the rivers flow, there they repeatedly go." Rain is held in the Heavens as "clouds of potential rivers" which manifest when it rains, the Hebrew word for Rain, "geshem", coming from the root of the word "to manifest". The word Lord, Elohim, in Hebrew means any one who governs the affairs of mankind by determining the Laws that create social order. Therefore, The Spirit of The Lord hovering "above" the sea of quantum potentials is together the Initial Singularity that will manifest as The Heavens and The Earth governed by Law and Order, once the idea of perception realizes with the verse, " And The Lord said, "Let there be Light, and There was Light."
Here we have a sequence with the first event being the Lord saying " Let there be Light!" and then The Manifestation of The Light in the Mind of The Lord, as described in the words, "And The Lord saw The Light that it was Good."
Light in the mind is the result of a collapsing wave function which realizes as the perception of a significant sequence or a "narrative". A Story of God and His Manifestation in The Mind of Man is born!
In other words, the boundless sea of potential (an infinity and eternity of diverse quantum wave functions) which is governed by the hovering Spirit of The Lord, manifests as a sequence of significance once The Light goes On in The Mind of a Living Creature.
All of this contained in the Divine Imperative spoken by God to Moses, " I Will Be What I Will Be!" or "What I Will (Quantum Potential), Will Be, (Mechanical Manifestation as such is described by Newton's Laws of Motion and Einstein's Theory of Relativity.
" And The Lord saw The Light that it was Good." Indeed, axiomatically, "Being", the Manifestation of Potential as Reality, is the Divine Intent which creates the Self of all Living Creatures, as later described in Genesis and called finally "Very Good" by The Lord, just as a human beings whose will manifests as a an unfolding plan reaches completion perfectly as intended and he says "Very Good!"
"And The Lord divided between The Light and The Darkness."In the Mind of Man are both Darkness, within its invisible potentials, Ignorance, with its unforeseeable consequences, and Light. In The Darkness dwells the potential for the Manifestation of Undesirable Realizations and this Great Darkness can be vanquished with the turning on of The Light, through self learning and public education, so there is still hope for mankind!
